Dressing for a bump has been a odd transition from my typical wardrobe. Typically, I’m more of a jeans and a sweater girl during this time of year and rarely opt to wear dresses. Being almost 20-weeks pregnant I’ve pretty much done a 180. Now, I can’t stop reaching for fitted dresses and cardigans. That’s not to say that I don’t still wear pants..they just aren’t of the denim variety. Even with the help of a belly band I’m still finding my denim to be just a tad uncomfortable. Because of this I’ve invested in a variety of leggings to wear when I’m around the house or out running errands.

Believe it or not I’ve been loving American Eagle! I mean they do have cute things, but recently I’ve been living in their clothing. I find their sizing to be spot on and very comfortable. These leggings are a total must pregnant or not, and I’d highly recommend them if your shopping for a new pair (or two.) Another piece from AE I’ve been loving is this turtleneck dress the fabric is buttery soft and with a slightly oversized fit it’s perfect for this time of year. Another random piece that I have been wearing on their daily is their wireless bras, the fit is super comfortable and supportive.

In terms of sizing I haven’t changed dramatically, I’m still reaching for mediums in most things, but have needed to size up in leggings to accommodate my growing belly. In terms of tops, sweaters, and blouses I’ve had a whole new bust line to take into consideration. It’s crazy considering I went from a small B to a D in less than 5 months, but I’m taking it in strides. Because of this I haven’t been reaching for button-downs or tops without a bit of stretch, as the fit normally looks off or awkward. Of course comfort still reigns supreme so sneakers or Rothys are typically my shoe of choice.

The weird part of reaching for my dresses is that I find myself wanting to get ready more frequently. We’re talking hair, make-up, the works! Since I work from home this wasn’t the norm, and on most days a simple messy-bun and clean skin would suffice.
