Signs of Summer
Bonjour! As I write this I am escaping rainy Paris and heading to Nice with Kev. We had a really great stay but, after three consecutive days of pouring rain were ready for some much needed sunshine! In this post I mentioned that we were packing light, and boy am I glad we did.
Making Changes with Paula's Choice
The time between season tends to be the time when my skin rebels against routine. With weather and the occasional stressors break outs and pesky dry skin and unavoidable. Typically my skin care routine consists of different brands and products I've picked up over the months and worked into my beauty regime, some staying in the cabinet while most fall in the waist basket. When Paula's choice approached me to chat with one of their skin care consultants I jumped at the opportunity. The last time I met or discussed my skin woes with someone was back in high school, and was more or less for hormonal acne. The thought of jumping into a new and well balanced skin care routine was exciting and daunting. I'm not the best at consistent routines and feared that I'd forget crucial steps in the process.
American in Paris
Happy Memorial Day! Although were
not in the us right now, we're doing plenty of celebrating here in Paris. Before we headed out on vaycay Kev and I shot a holiday themed look, perfect for the occasion and our travels. I've been hoarding this "bonjour" shirt for months in anticipation of this shoot, and I love how the the shot and overall look came together. The skirt was a recent Zara find and one I'll be wearing all summer. The cut is super comfortable and perfect for tees and tops. When it comes to holiday dressing I always aim for comfort first and style second, because no one wants to be tugging on awkward hems or I'll-fitting clothing.
Europe Vacation, Paris Packing-List
I know what you're probably thinking, 10-days in carry-on? Are you kidding me? Trust me, that was my attitude when my Fiance told me we weren’t traveling with checked luggage to Europe. At first I was shocked, doubtful, and slightly annoyed but, after some researching (hello Pinterest) I learned it’s totally doable! Being that I’m naturally prone to packing way more than is needed, this was a great lesson for experimenting with mixing and matching and only packing what was totally necessary (i.e no ball gowns).
The Right Romper
Rompers, I love to hate them. They're that favorite sweater you love the look of, only to try it on to be tight or loose in all the wrong places. I'd compete finding a romper that actually fits to the feeling you get after running a race, pure euphoria.

What do you get when you cross a landmark hotel with one tasty bourbon brand? The Marriott Bourbon Battle of course! I’m so excited to finally be able to share with you what I’ve been dropping hints about all month. During our stay in Kentucky, we had the pleasure of experiencing the kick-off of what will be a five-city tour to crown the ultimate bourbon cocktail craftsman. As a bourbon lover and general cocktail connoisseur (as in consumer) seeing the four contestants battle to create the ‘top cocktail’ was an absolute blast!
