Urban Safari
Jackets, layers, and rolled denim, welcome to summer in San Francisco. Between waking up to to chilly mornings and ending the day bundled up on a walk, my jackets are getting plenty of use! I’ve learned that my most worn cool weather clothing are neutral in tone and typically allow me to layer.
Life in Denim
I’ve grown to learn what styles work with my body, which denim is most stretchy, and why low-rise jeans should be banned. I mean, there truly isn’t any reason to feel the need to force your way into a style that won’t fit or flatter your body shape. I personally prefer a mid-to-high rise denim that sits comfortably at the top of my waist, which is why I’ve been living in The Limited’s Mid Rise Skinny Jean.
Desert Dressing
While we were down in Palm Springs, Kev and I took full advantage of the beautiful weather to shoot plenty of summer looks. This Free People mini-dress was a major deal and one I had on my wish-list for months. I ended up finding it for half the price, and I’m so glad I held out.
View From the Top
I’ve been waiting weeks to share an all-inclusive look at my last few days in Paris. The weather may have been less than desirable but, the scenery still looked as beautiful as ever. We schedule a tour of the Eiffel tower on our second to last day, hoping for a bit of sunshine to sneak through.
Beach Weekend
Back to reality! I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July, it felt more like a vacation and less like an extended weekend. All in all the past few days have centered around relaxed lazy afternoons, and several trips to the beach. Kev and I really wanted to chill and didn’t make too many plans, which allowed us to finally get down to the beach. Living so close it’s hard not to make an excuse to walk down and enjoy a glass of wine. Typically during the summer months I switch from enjoying red to white wine. Some of my go-to favorites are crisp sauvignon blanc and french rosé.
