Why You Need a Leather Jacket

There's no denying the power that a leather jacket can bring to an outfit. Cropped, oversized, or perfectly fitted a leather jacket is a must-have essential in every woman's wardrobe. No matter the style choice, leather or vegan leather can instantly add a luxe look to any outfit. Don't let a steep price-tag keep you from adding a leather jacket to your shopping list. BORROWED FROM THE BOYS: My personal favorite style tends to be the slightly oversized fit. I love the borrowed from the boys look for draping an oversized leather coat with a floral or silk maxi dress. It's effortless and always seems to attract compliments - definitely a great late summer style!

FROM ANOTHER ERA: One of my personal style hunts at the moment is to score a vintage leather jacket! I love the look of worn and dated leather, especially if it has a story to tell. I've both women and men scoop up embellished, fringed, and straight-up bad-ass leather jackets, and style them in the coolest ways. One of my favorites was a long camel-colored silhouette (similar to this) from the 70s's complete with a belt and fur..it was amazing!

FITTED: There really isn't any better feeling than a jacket that feels as good as it looks. When it comes to non-stretch fabrics, the fit is EVERYTHING. Finding out your measurements can help guide you towards finding a fitted leather jacket that fits like a glove. For me, I like to size up when wearing leather. This allows me to be able to wear sweaters underneath without the dreaded bulged arms and also looks more relaxed when draping over the shoulder (great for spring).
