Why Vitamin-C Should be in your Beauty Routine

This post has been sponsored by Physicians Formula. All opinions are my own.

Sure, we’re all familiar with Vitamin-C and the fruits and vegetables it’s found in, but did you know that Vitamin-C is also incredibly powerful for the skin? If you’re shaking your head no, then do your skin a favor and keep reading! As a self-proclaimed skincare guinea pig, I’ve taken the experimentation out of the equation and provided you with a full review on Physicians Formula newest Vitamin-C rich Oil Stick and few products I’m loving.

First, can I say that I have a firm belief that great skincare shouldn’t cost hundreds of dollar! Perfectly capable products (with proven results) can be purchased at your local big box store. Case and point, the Vitamin C Brightening Oil Stick by Physicians Formula! I packed this during my recent trip to Hawaii and was genuinely pleased with the coverage it provided (hello 30 SPF!). I carried it around in my beach bag and was nervous that it may melt or become liquid, but even in the high temperatures, the oil stick stayed solid.

Since most of my vacation days were spent makeup-free I used the oil stick pretty liberally throughout the day. The product offers long-term anti-aging benefits and with an initial brightening glow that really makes skin shine! The product itself glides on smooth and only required a bit patting to absorb into my skin. Physicians Formula also kindly sent over their 24-Karat Gold Collagen Serum and the Organic Wear Lip Treatment which I used in coordination with the Oil Stick.

Overall the products worked well together and really contributed to a hydrated complexion, and who doesn’t want to experience that while traveling? I applied the serum in the mornings after washing my face and found that it blended in quite nicely, and left a subtle glow. One gripe I had was that sometimes occasional gold flakes would clump on my skin. Normally, this just took a little extra attention to blend. The lip treatment was an easy addition to my beach bag and had a nice distant scent thanks to the organic coconut and jojoba oil.

It didn’t so much deliver a shine, but more of a subtle matte pout, which was a nice compliment to my dewy skin. Overall I’m pretty impressed with all three products, especially with the proven results. Sometimes my skin can get finicky when traveling and breakouts are a common occurrence. Even in the new environment and new additions, my skin reacted quite well to the Physicians Formula products. I will definitely continue to use all three with my daily skincare regime!

Have you tried any of these Physicians Formula products?
