Our Baby Nursery Design Plans and Inspiration

Is there anything cuter than browsing baby nurseries on Pinterest? Collecting inspiration for Evie’s nursery has been one of my favorite things to do as of late. I will admit that the planning process started months ago, when both Kev and I decided that we’d transform the office into her room. If you remember we actually completed the office design around this time last year and shared the post (seen here.) Now, here we are repainting, ordering new furniture, and creating a whole new space!

NURSERY INSPIRATION

When we started talking about what we wanted to do with the space, we knew we’d be limited due to the size of the room. With it being on the smaller side, it’s fine for a baby, but not a place where we could squeeze in bulky furniture. Because of this we’ve made a few design plans to use just about every inch of the space, including the reach in wardrobe. In terms of the color palette, I wanted a mix of neutrals, that we’re subtle yet, still fun (I mean it is a nursery after all!) With a mix of blush, sage, and rattan (browns/tans) with brushed gold hardware. I shared a few early updates of the closet design on Instagram stories, but wanted to share our vision for the Nursery on the blog first.
