Fall 2018 Trend Report: Autumn Styles to Pick up Now & Giveaway

I know you’re probably thinking that sweaters and boots are the last things on your mind, but Autumn is closer than you think! The thing about fall trends is that some are bound to last a season while others will be transformed into wardrobe staples for seasons to come. I personally love experimenting with trends, especially during fall and winter. I find that I’m able to invest in items that are of higher quality during this time of year because of the fact that I’ll be able to wear them into spring.

Pops of Red

Bold pops of red were seen all over the runway and street style earlier this February. My favorite way to try this trend is with a pair of patent red ankle boots or a knee-length leather skirt. Either way, this trend is bold and definitely won't be for everyone!

Animal Prints

I dabbled in this trend in July and have been embracing it ever since! I love leopard or cheetah print when done in a demure silhouette, like long sleeve dresses or midi skirts.

Tone-on-Tone

This is by far one of my favorite trends to try this fall! I love the way tone-on-tone looks and find that it requires a much more relaxed approach. Chloe has been ramping up this styling for years, and I’m thrilled to finally see it come to life more in street style and everyday wear. To recreate this in your own wardrobe opt for pieces that complement one another in color value, i.e look for the same color palette. I think this looks best with longline coats, dusters, button-downs, and trousers.

Tweed

This is one trend that I find to be a little outside my personal style. Overall, I find tweed to be much more girly and feminine than the pieces I typically opt for. However, I’m loving this when seen in longer blazers and paired with skinny denim or leather leggings. The juxtaposition between tough and chic is more in line with something I could see myself wearing.

Printed Midi Skirts

One of my personal fall outfits to recreate is a midi and sweater combination. I love tucking in a cropped solid sweater into a printed accordion-style skirt

Iconic Jewelry

I could absolutely see this trend trickling over from earlier this year into late fall to become a classic accessory. I love the pendant and coin necklaces that have been gaining popularity this year. I foresee them being styled and layered over thin turtlenecks or basic tees paired with midi-skirts.
