Easter Tablescape Ideas

The Spring season is one of my favorite times of the year! Most of our family birthdays and holidays occur during this season which always means plenty of gatherings! Easter happens to be one of those holidays where my immediate family plays host. As a result, Easter has quickly become one of my favorite holidays. I love watching the kids hunt for eggs, the excitement around the “Easter Bunny,” and just the time to relax and enjoy some delicious food with our family. I wanted to share this year’s tablescape in partnership with Walmart in anticipation of our hosting obligations!

How to Create an Easter Tablescape

When I think back to Easter growing up, I am immediately transported to my Grandmother’s home. The smell of fresh-cut flowers on a crisp-white tablecloth adorned with crystal wine glasses and perfectly prepared for hosting. In creating my own Easter tablescape, I wanted to pay homage to my Grandmother and utilize an heirloom from her, the milk glass candlestick holders. When setting your holiday tablescape, I encourage mixing the old with the new. Walmart has a ton of lovely Easter and springtime decor that pair perfectly with vintage or heirloom items you may already own.

Walmart’s new spring home line include a variety of heirloom-inspired decor for tabletops and beyond. The Pioneer Woman Two-Tiered Glass Server was one piece that I immediately added to my cart. I love the vintage-inspired aesthetic and think it will be perfect for serving mini-muffins and pastries.

When creating a color pallet to adhere to, I try and stick to the season's colors. I chose light blue, mustard-yellow, and white for this tablescape. Doing so creates a cohesive aesthetic that feels intentional. Once your tablescape has a solid base ( for me, this Chambray linen tablecloth), you continue to style and add a mix of vintage and new.

When it comes to the styling aspect, I love to play to the whimsy that surrounds Easter. Wood bunnies are playfully posed around the table to add a touch of fun; after all, this is a family celebration! If you prefer to keep things more natural, you can create a centerpiece full of blooms within your color pallet. This is another opportunity to exercise your creative muscles!
