5 Late Summer Date Ideas

See this content in the original post

As soon as we hit August, that mid-summer mindset begins to set in. Between BTS and the busyness of getting ready for the upcoming season, most of us have little time to spend on carving out time for date night. So much of this summer has been spent at home surrounded by our immediate family, leaving Kevin and me without any real quality time. With so much time delegated to our careers and home life planning extravagant evenings is the last thing on our mind. What we’ve found to love and cherish is putting together impromptu date nights that we can create at home or close to it. I want to share our experiences and ideas to inspire you and your partner to grab a White Claw® Hard Seltzer and spend some time with just you two!

Create your Own At-Home Theater

I’m sure many of us haven’t been to see a movie in some time. That doesn’t mean we have to lose that fun that is going to the movie theater has. Why not bring everything you love about going to the movies to the comfort of your own home. Set up a snack bar with your favorite treats and cold beverages (White Claw® Hard Seltzers are encouraged!) and get cozy. You may decide to pin up a sheet in the backyard and utilize a projector or deck out your living room in your comfiest pillows and throws. Whatever you choose, you and your partner are bound to have a relaxing time taking in a show.

Backyard Picnic

Two things I love more than anything are take-out and picnics (Kevin, you are also in there as well.) What better way to stay close to home than to utilize your backyard space. We’re lucky to have a fair amount of space to toss a blanket out and enjoy the outdoors. This would also be a clever (and easily recreated) idea for planning a surprise date-night, and who doesn’t like those? Simply plot out your favorite food, delivery is a plus, pack the cooler with a 6-Pack of White Claw® Hard Seltzers, and enjoy the evening.

White Claw® Hard Seltzer has been our go-to beverage this season thanks to its refreshing bubbly finish and low carb, calorie, and low sugar ingredients.

White Claw® Hard Seltzer is the perfect summer beverage to enjoy and cool down thanks to its blend of seltzer water, gluten-free alcohol base, and the perfect hint of fruit flavor.

Take it to the Sand

If you’re lucky enough to live within proximity to the beach, why not take advantage of the location? When we lived in San Francisco, we were just up the street (walking) distance from Baker Beach. So often, we’d back up a tote of beverages and take in the sunset while bundled up on the sand. It doesn’t take a ton of extra work or planning to do something you both enjoy. Taking this into consideration makes coming up with impromptu date night ideas that much easier.

Delicious guilt-free taste with a hint of fruit flavors, White Claw® Hard Seltzer is only 100 calories and 2g carbs.

Make a Meal Together

Whether you live in a small apartment in the city or a home in the suburbs, cooking a meal with someone you love can be a ton of fun. So, dust-off a cookbook and choose something you love to eat. It could be something you’ve only enjoyed at a restaurant or potentially a meal that may be more complicated to cook. Divide the tasks between the two of you, turn on your favorite playlist, and get to work. The best reward for a well-cooked meal is being able to enjoy it with someone you love. You could even go the extra mile and enjoy a romantic candlelight dinner.

Keep it Random and Fun.

Some of the best nights are those that start off being random and fun. Gather a list of ideas between you and your partner, write them down and throw them in the hat. Keep this saved for nights (or days) when you have time, reach in and grab one idea and roll with it! The plans could be as simple as having a movie marathon or listening to music and lounging outdoors. The idea is not to overcomplicate things, keep it light, and just enjoy the time only you two.
