Springtime in the City

Raise your hands if you consider denim a year-round staple ( insert high-five emoji). As if there's anything more classic than a pair of washed jeans, it's cuffed or cut-off shorts! Living in San Francisco in the springtime means a mix of highs and lows. Being as the weather typically settles in the mid-60s layering year round is a must.

During the spring I like to mix things up by pairing a cuffed-denim style (like this pair) with a long sleeve and anorak. Both are light enough to wear with one another and can be easily wrapped around the waist or placed in the shoulders should the weather warm up. Another thing I love to do is style a collared sleeveless blouse with another shirt or sweater. It polishes the look for a classic edge without bulking sleeves up with another sleeve. If you're looking for a button-down style that works well under shirts opt for a style that cuts off at the shoulder.
