Simple Skincare

Let's face it, having sensitive skin is not the business. Everything from sunburns, pigmentation and yes random breakouts make it nearly impossible to find a product that actually works and protects our skin. I've never been one to stray away from trying a new brand and have had my share of success stories and absolute failures {face peel}.

When Birchbox {BB} reached out to its community of bloggers to share a brand new line from the UK I was immediately intrigued. I had actually just seen the commercials on TV offering a "simpler" way to skincare, and would have most likely gave it a go if not for BB's generous offer.

The products I tried were the Light Moisturizer, Eye Balm and Eye Make-up Remover Pads all of which came in a sweet little care package. My review is as follows:

Soothing Eye Balm: Being that I work behind a computer screen for 8 hours a day, my eyes are no stranger to strain, puffiness, and bags. After one particularly stressful day at work I decided to try this product out; and was pretty impressed with how gentle and soothing the formula was on my irritated lids. Although, I haven't tried a ton of eye creams I have tested a few that resulted in added puffiness and actually ended up irritating my eyes. This balm hydrates the surrounding area, with a serum kind of gel, somewhat of an "eye lid relaxer".

Protecting Light Moisturizer SPF 15:  Having combination skin {both dry & oily} I am constantly battling trying to find a moisturizer that is sensitive enough to not dry out my skin, while not so dense that it causes me to look shiny. The light moisturizer is honestly the best of both worlds! I have been using the product for almost 3 weeks and have absolutely no complaints. The product has not only kept my skin hydrated but, has also protected it from the sun's harsh rays. {definitely a year-round must have!}

Eye Make-Up Remover Pads: I can't tell you how many times I've tried an eye make-up remover that has ended up burning the you know what out of my eyes. I always take off my eye make-up before working out, so remover has grown to be a staple in my gym bag. These pads are great for throwing into your pre-workout routine {I really can't stand when people where full make-up to the gym}. The only draw back I found was that package has a sticky seal, so the formula has a tendency to dry out if not kept in plastic baggy. It would be great if they designed a package with a lock lid.

Have you tested out any of the Simple Skincare line? I'd love to know your opinions!
