To Crop or Not

I'll admit I'm still on the fence with the whole crop top trend. I feel as through there are two ways of wearing it..in a flattering (non baby gap way) and then theres just the opposite.  The crop is always more flattering when worn with a complimentary counterpart. A piece be it a skirt or pant that doesn't compete with the style of the top. On the flip side a cropped "bralette" can be worn with a matching pattern for a seriously 50's style look - as seen here. 

Whether you wear it with a full skirt or trouser, I think the most important element is to keep it flattering. If you are showing a little midriff keep the neckline and hemline modest.
